I am a highly skilled and experienced home service professional. I recently completed a job for a customer who was experiencing an issue with their heating system. Upon diagnostics, it was discovered that the system was tripping the breaker when it was in heating mode. The current breaker was a double pole 15amp breaker, which is not sufficient for the system's requirements. I recommended replacing the breaker with a double pole 30amp breaker to ensure that the system runs smoothly. This was the first step in the troubleshooting process, and we needed to have the system running to identify any other underlying issues that could be causing the breaker to trip. I explained this to the customer and provided them with a quote for the replacement breaker and the cost of the service. The customer agreed to the quote and provided a 50% deposit to proceed with the work. The remaining balance was due upon the arrival of the technician.

The condenser was heavily contaminated with dirt and debris, which was affecting the system's efficiency by around 40-60%. I recommended cleaning the condenser to improve efficiency and extend the lifespan of the components. In addition, I recommended replacing the original capacitor, which was rusted and in need of replacement. The new capacitor has a 5-year warranty and will help maintain the system's performance and longevity. I also recommended replacing the burned-out contactor, which was a sign of arcing. This issue occurs when the contactor is starting to fail, and replacing it with a new one will help maintain the system's operation during operation. Finally, I recommended upgrading the hard start kit, which is a generic component on the system. I was called to a customer's home to install a wall heater that the customer had purchased. I arrived at the customer's home and assessed the situation. I determined that the wall heater was not the correct size for the room and would not heat the room adequately. I explained to the customer that I could install a larger wall heater that would heat the room more effectively. The customer agreed to the installation and I ordered the larger wall heater. I installed the larger wall heater and tested it to ensure it was working properly. The customer was happy with the installation and I left the customer's home.

The heat strip was a 5kw unit, and the electrical breaker was installed in the electrical panel. The short electrical run was completed, and the heat strip was connected to the electrical panel. Findings: • System is cooling properly. • Filters, blower wheel, and coils are clean. • Condensation line is intact. • Outdoor condenser is dirty. • All 3 indoor units share a single drain line that ties into the shower. • Likely cause: Drainage may intermittently back up, causing the far-left unit to leak out the front. • Line set covering is deteriorating see pictures and needs replacement. Recommendations: • If the issue reoccurs, blow out and vacuum condensation lines to ensure proper drainage. • Replace deteriorated line set covering. • Clean outdoor condenser for improved performance and longevity.
